Raku is a Japanese ceramic firing technique that produces unique and beautiful results. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn the basics of Raku firing and create your own beautiful Raku pottery.

During the workshop, you will be introduced to the materials and tools used in Raku pottery, including clay, glazes, and a Raku kiln. You will learn about the different firing techniques used in Raku, such as reduction and oxidation, and how they impact the final product.

Once your pieces are ready, we will fire them in our Raku kiln, giving you the opportunity to witness the unique and exciting process of Raku firing. As the pieces cool, you will see the beautiful colors and textures that result from the firing process.

At the end of the workshop, you will have several beautiful Raku pottery pieces to take home and enjoy. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced ceramic artist, this workshop is the perfect way to explore the fascinating world of Raku pottery.

During the workshop, David, Becci's husband, will provide a delicious and nutritious lunch to keep you energized and focused throughout the day.

Our lunch menu will feature fresh and healthy options, with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. We can accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences, so please let us know ahead of time if you have any specific needs.

We believe that sharing a meal together is a great way to connect with fellow participants and to reflect on the day's creative experiences.
